Randeep Hooda would make a badass assassin in other movies. Extraction watch full length vs. Er, I"m confused by the content of this review. It bears a lot of internal one hand, the reviewer says the movie will be studied years from now for its action scenes, which he states are categorically better than anything else in recent memory. On the other hand, he says its an okay movie. Dude, make up your mind. which is it: a movie with outstanding action scenes or an okay movie. The two statements are mutually contradictory. Also, the assertion that the movie"s characters and plot aren"t very sophisticated is entirely subjective, since the reviewer does not substantiate these assertions with proof drawn from the movie itself. Why did the reviewer think the characters were shallow? On the contrary, the five main characters were complex (that is, displaying a set of distinct qualities. For instance, the first of the five main characters, the hero and protagonist, Tyler Rake, begins act one as a self-centered, money-loving, drunkard. However, during act two, he displays a definite change in his basic principles, arising from his personal experience of the immediate circumstances of life. This leads him to a new level of self-understanding with new (or rediscovered) principles as the third act unfolds. That is the epitome of a complex character: a change of perspective, practices, or basic principles. I"m not sure how this character arc can be mistaken for simplistic? Rake is fundamentally different by the end of the movie, and the narrative shows us how this transformation takes place. it"s as he interacts with the second main character, the subject of the extraction, Ovi, who, again, is complex. He seems one way at the beginning of act one but undergoes a transformation (through a personal revelation) as the movie progresses. Huh, development of character through new insight or action. huh, just like Aristotle outlined all those years ago! The reviewer says the plot is simplistic, too. Again, I"m not sure what his definition of simplistic is, since it seems to contradict what unfolds in the narrative of the movie. A simplistic movie wouldn"t include twists and reversals and revelations of character development. Since Extraction includes these elements, it"s hard to understand how the reviewer reached the conclusion that it"s simplistic. Did he watch the movie? Based on these obvious flaws, this particular review was poor. Out of a scale of one to ten, I"d give it a one.

But there are few issues. Firstly, they messed up the city environment. They shoot it in India and represented " Dhaka" more like African cities! On contrary Dhaka is quite developed metropolitan. I appreciate there effort to give the Indian town a Bangladeshi look (they used Bangla poster/signboards everywhere) but Capital Dhaka has not much similarities to the ghetto they showed in the movie.
I appreciate the use of local language- but the pronunciations were in some cases- horrible. They could use good voice coach/take opinion of some Bengali.
Overall, I had fun and highly recommend the movie.

Hooda was same in action as Chris. action packed movie. Extraction Watch full length. Couldn"t they study a little about Dhaka before making this movie? I get it, you are making every shot at a different place other than Dhaka, tried to make it look like Dhaka and yeah, it"s very difficult I would say. But why you guys showed this much apathay to study about Dhaka? There"s plenty of directors who know how to make a movie relatable.
Okay, you don"t care about the city. You are saying the story is not about the city, something else. Then why you had to mention the city? It could be elsewhere in any state of India. And what is this Sepia effect all the time? Everything in the movie about Dhaka was like a garbage portrayal and misrepresented You don"t care about Dhaka because you don"t stay here. Well, some us do. And we know the difference. If you don"t care about plot, why don"t you just watch WWE and stuffs?
To me, it was nothing but a typical bollywood film. The action scenes and the story wouldn"t be that bad if you couldn"t point the difference.
